| Friday 9th May 2008 | Erewash Beer Festival More…
The second Erewash Beer Festival will take place this week at the Royal Regency
rooms in Ilkeston. Last year was a total sucess and was opened by Twiggy.
<br /><br />
This year it will be opened by Dave Tizard a local man and the towns only Mirco
Brewer. Last year Dave won an award from CAMRA for "Beer if the Festival" with
Divebomber and is now on the tasting for The Great British Beer Festival at
Earls Court in London in August. It was a proud moment for Dave who was born
and Breed in Sikeston. His Brewery "Funfair Brewing Company" highlights his
true passion for Ilkeston, with all current beers being named after things to
do with the Ilkeston Fair. Dave outshone other brewers to walk away with this
award, and is very proud of his achievement.

The Festival hopes again to be a great success and we look forward to meeting
everyone.

Dave will be opening the Beer Festival at 12:00pm Friday 9 May. The festival
will run for 2 days where there will be approximately 50 beers on (if not
more)

If anyone is interested in doing an interview with Dave or any one else at the
festival this is welcomed with opened arms.
